Mr. Alex SS Lee

Our Mr. Alex SS Lee had been involved in the Timber trade and business under a family concern from 1985 to 1989 before embarking on his legal studies and education in the United Kingdom.

He has received pre-tertiary education in Chung Hwa High School, Seremban and Holborn Law Tutors in London.

Our Mr. Alex SS Lee graduated with a degree in Law LLB (Hons) with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in 1993 from the University of East London, United Kingdom.  Upon return from the United Kingdom he joined Billoway Sdn. Bhd. (a Company mainly involved in land development in Negeri Sembilan) as a manager primarily dealing with the government authorities and external consultants. Thence, he completed his post-graduate studies and was awarded a Certificate in Legal Practice with Honours by the Qualifying Board of Malaysia in 1996.  He is also an Approved Company Secretary prescribed by Section 139A Companies Act 1965.

In the United Kingdom, Mr. Alex SS Lee has undergone his legal attachment as Trainee Solicitor with M/S Michael Tang & Co; Solicitors, (London) where he was an assistant in the Conveyancing and Immigration Law Department. From 1992 to 1993, Mr. Alex SS Lee had undergone legal attachment with M/s Y S Hon & Co., Solicitors (London) where he was assigned to take charge of Transfer and Mortgage Transaction and Immigration matters such as work permits, visa application, residentship application amongst others.

In Malaysia, Mr. Alex SS Lee read in chamber at M/S Lee Boon Peng & Co, Seremban for nine (9) months prior to him being called to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 29/11/1997. Our Mr. Alex SS Lee has been in active legal practice continuously in Malaysia for not less than Seventeen (17) years since 1997.

As of 1/1/1998 Mr. Alex SS Lee joined our Mr. KF Wong as a partner in legal practice.  Presently he is the Managing Partner in charge of the Seremban Jaya Branch office and Kuala Lumpur Branch.

Land Law has always been Mr. Alex SS Lee’s interest and in his practice on conveyancing matters he undertakes diverse sale and purchase transactions under the Malaysian National Land Code, Strata Titles Act, Malay Reservation Enactment and other provisions in force, corporate and commercial conveyance, transfer or transmission of property; drafting and vetting of legal documentations and preparation of legal opinion therein whereas Landlord and Tenant matters has encompassed tenancies, long leases, eviction, distress, writ of seizure and sale.  He has also handled Developer projects which are joint-venture with state government involving: United Kimda Sdn. Bhd, Pembinaan Siow Ken Fok Brothers Sdn. Bhd. and Pembinan Pantai Kundur Sdn. Bhd.  He has also frequently been consulted as to the applicability of Malaysian laws and regulations on property and goods transacted or conveyed.

Banking and Finance matters have seen Mr. Alex SS Lee work on housing loan, commercial loan and facilities, creation of debentures and charges over land and incorporated companies.  Additionally, Islamic Banking is another area that Mr. Alex SS Lee is frequently involved in such as attending to legal and security documentation under the concept of Al-Bai Bithaman Ajil together with Takaful Insurance.

In matters requiring civil litigation or resolution he has experience in foreclosure, hire-purchase matters, bankruptcy proceedings, winding-up matters, court orders, recovery of debts, restructuring of debts and enforcement of contract, enforcement of judgment, divorce proceedings, attending to land inquiries at land offices, seeking distress order, eviction order, questing for vacant possession of property and other banking related litigation.

Probate and Administration matters has involved drafting and creation of wills and trusts, obtaining and extracting probate and/or letters of administration.

Mr. Alex SS Lee legal interest in Corporate and Commercial matters has entailed work on winding-up procedures of corporation, companies and dissolution of partnerships.  Further he has been constantly instructed by clients in commercial matters requiring court orders for reinstatements of shareholding structure and business, partnerships matters apart from drafting many Master Agreements in various aspects of laws.

With these vast exposure and experience in conveyancing, civil litigation and banking related matters; our Mr. Alex SS Lee can comfortably and diligently provide his specialised services and comprehensive advice to clients both institutional and private individuals.

In matters involving Society/Association, Mr. Alex SS Lee is presently Legal Adviser to the following organisations:-

2. Persatuan Murid-Murid Tua SJK (C) Kuo Min;
3. SJK (C) Ladang Sungai Salak; and
4. Buta Light Association of Malaysia.

Currently our Mr. Alex SS Lee is the Vice President of Board of Directors of the Chung Hua High School, Seremban.

Apart from that, Mr. Alex SS Lee is well connected with Persatuan Usahawan Muda Malaysia (PUMM) and Persatuan Belia Xiang Hui, Malaysia, a national-wide youth organisation.
